tvIt may be just a stupid TV show. But American Idol gave my heart hope tonight.
As I looked at the diversity on the stage...with all that is currently going on in the world...I saw the love the cast has for each other. Yes I cheered inside when Sanjaya was finally voted off...that quickly turned to tears as I wept watching Lakisha embrace him. Genuinely and lovingly she seemed to be holding him up. Then later seeing Blake wiping Lakisha's tears away with his hand, gently, so her makeup was not ruined. In such a superficial way, that is an act of truthful caring and kindness. Looking out for each other.
Thats what we should all be doing ...looking out for each other.
