Friend or Foe?

One of the perks of being a teacher is getting an invitation to the end of the year Scholastic Books blowout sale, where every thing is 30-80% off!
I spent $344.00 on books yesterday. I am so glad I brought a friend who is not at all into books, after 2 1/2 hours of looking at books she dragged me out of there. Imagine the price tag had I been left to my own devices. Scary.
I saw a plethora of books that were comic book related. It was hard for me not to buy those for someone I know, but that, for me...is progress.
