Death according to Lazarus...
new respect for baseball, players
I feel I need to preface this post by saying, I hate sports. I can't be clear enough about that.
At the gym I usually choose the same treadmill (crazy ritual stuff). It also happens to be in direct line of sight for one of the t.v.'s , although I think I favor this place because of it's symmetry to the room. Anyway usually this t.v. is tuned to Spike or Scifi...both usually have something good on at this time o' the day. Today a friend I made at the gym, Jeff, thought he'd be really funny and sit at the bike in front of my treadmill after turning a baseball game on. I really don't care what is on because I listen to my ipod anyway.
I couldn't even tell you the teams that were playing, but seagulls kept pestering the players and swooping on the pitcher. I was very impressed with how focused the players were. Each time a bird swooped at someone I squealed or screamed (something everyone seemed to be amused by), but the players were uneffected by this nuisance. I'm not scared of birds, persay, but these guys were a little too friendly. I certainly wouldn't have been able to concentrate, I thought it was simply amazing.
